Cape May County Chamber Opposes Parkway
Fencing
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
approved the adoption of a resolution to support recent action
taken by the Board of Chosen Freeholders calling for the removal
of the security fencing on the Garden State Parkway installed
between the Great Egg Harbor Bridge and Drag Channel.

Welcome New Members
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce welcomed seven
businesses as new members at their February 16 meeting held at
Rio Station. These new members include three businesses located
in Cape May County and four that are based out of the county but
provide products and or services in Cape May County.

of The Wetlands Institute
Dr. Lenore Tedesco, the new Executive Director of The Wetlands
Institute will be the guest speaker at the Cape May County
Chamber of Commerce February 16th Business Meeting. Dr.
Tedesco will address members and guests on the new programming
at The Wetlands Institute.

County Accepting Scholarship
Applications
The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting
scholarship applications from high school graduates planning to
pursue a college education. The application criteria requires
that students must be or have been employed by a business that
is a member of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, or their
parents or guardians must be employed by or own a member
business. Eligible students must also be a resident of
Cape May County.

The Membership Development and Communications Intern should be
energetic, enthusiastic, organized and possess excellent verbal
and written communication skills. The ideal candidate for this
position is able to work in a team environment as well as
independently with minimal supervision.

Cape May Co. Chamber of Commerce,
has been in continuous service since 1944. Today, we represent over 950
members with a 36-member Board of Directors. A full time staff
implements member and visitor services, manages special events, and
works on specific issues along with volunteers serving on various
committees.
